Looking at some of the traditional symbols associated with Spring this season has generally been accepted as the start of something new, a time of new beginnings, a period of progress, the blossoming of new things, birth, growth and creating new life. All very “Becoming” aspects.
Dreaming of spring indicates taking pleasure in life. Spring is most often thought of as the season of happiness. Nature, flowers, leaves, plants, trees, vegetables, and fruits all begin to blossom.
Other interpretations of Spring include it being a time of :
Rebirth
Fertility
Renewal
Creativity
Rejoicing
Gratitude
Expression
Transition
Productivity
These are all new beginnings like the ones we may envision for ourselves.
As the seasons adjust we are preparing ourselves for a time of awakening, blossoming and reemerging. Today we’ll focus on making this a fertile time to begin our own rebirthing process.

Included in this period of rebirth, Spring does have some spiritual implications. It represents waking from a period of hibernation, a time when we are suddenly made aware of the possibilities of new life, new ways and yes a new us.
So let’s each consider some questions about ourselves today.
What is my life’s purpose?
My mission?
Where do I direct my focus?
And why?
Write down ( or type) your answers. Focus on these thought starters and write down your responses. Then spend some time with your answers so you can chart your path towards “Becoming”.

Once you’ve studied your responses, perhaps revised them a bit, then we can consider some more inquiries.
What does your success look like?
Having a clear picture of what life will look like for the future is essential to assisting you in achieving your goals. It is a great motivator to be able to clearly see who or what your “Becoming”. Some may try vision boards, for others just keeping the image top of mind, in their hearts or reinforcing the picture by writing or speaking about it is a great motivator. Visualize your success creating clarity to sharpen your focus.
Will this choice move me forward or keep me stuck?
We all have choices we must make every day. More than likely every hour. Keep this in mind and come to understand the ramifications of these actions. Will skipping a step aid your progress? Or cause you to trip? Is this better than that? Yes it may be harder, that way, but I never said any of this would be easy. So refresh yourself and get ready to take renewing actions.

Tomorrow we’ll take a closer look at the renewing process. So to get you motivated let’s consider the origins of the word renewed.
In Scripture the basis for this word comes from the Greek “ananeoo”. Which is defined as “to be renovated by an inward reformation”. Therefore we can accept that renewing is an ongoing process through which a transition from one state of mind, attitude or belief to another takes place. It is a rebirth in the sense that there is a shedding of the old and putting on the new.
This can take place on all four levels.
An essential part of “Becoming”, these four aspects of life, are something for years I’ve referred to as P.I.E.S.
Physical: Taking care of your temple. Eating healthy, exercising, strengthening and conditioning to remain agile and flexible. Seeing that you are remaining disease free or taking proper step and treatments, therapies, etc to ensure you are recovering.
Intellectual: Tending to your mind as well. Maintaining cognitive functions and abilities as well as having right thoughts. Keeping yourself motivated for the momentum to always be “Becoming” forward and upward.
Emotional: Maintain balance and control over your emotions. Celebrating the highs and guarding against the lows. Ensuring your mental health is fit as well.
Spiritual: Are you involved in a daily spiritual practice? How do you see yourself in relationship to creation? Do you need rituals? Traditions? All very personal questions for yourself to consider.
When you are addressing all four aspects of life, the circle remains unbroken, the wheel of life keeps spinning, you continue to move, if not then suddenly one area deflates and like a flat tire you find yourself temporarily stranded on the side of the path, However, this too can be corrected, with Fix-A -Flat, the tire changed or someone comes to rescue you.

Take some time to reconsider where you see yourself. Contemplate who you are and what you truly want to achieve. Examine why this is vital to your “Becoming”. Then come back tomorrow and we’ll consider the next steps on our shared path of “Becoming Today”.
